A start-up company engaged in digital transmission of Scents and Aromas (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Nien-Tsao Tsai; hereinafter referred to as Horizon Inc.), has been selected for J-StarX, an entrepreneur support program sponsored by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. This program targets promising startups aiming to expand their business globally.
Horizon's scent transfer technology and scent streaming service Scent Store enable the digital transmission of scents, providing consumers with an exceptional experience. This innovative technology is expected to grow globally, and with the support of JETRO and 500 Global, is expected to take off even further.
J-StarX aims to support the international expansion of Japanese companies and will be implemented in partnership with prominent VC firms such as 500 Global, a Silicon Valley-based VC firm that invests in startups in more than 80 countries with $2.4 billion in total assets under management.

The finalists will pass an interview screening process in English and participate in a meetup in Japan on September 24, 2024. Finalists will have the opportunity to present their services and receive feedback at a virtual demo day to a global audience of stakeholders.
With this selection, Horizon will take a step forward in its growth in the international market and will be able to promote its innovative scent and aroma digital streaming service worldwide.
